Module 10 Assignment

Note: This continues the case introduced in module 08. You may want to refresh your memory of the case by reviewing the case background presented in the module 08 assignment.

Background

Frank McMillian has approved your proposal to prepare a research report on the possibility of telecommuting at Corona Corporation.

Prerequisite

Your instructor must approve your assignment from module 08 and return the graded proposal before you can complete and submit this assignment. In preparing this assignment, you are expected to incorporate any recommendations made by the instructor and respond to other comments.

Your Assignment

Write a draft of the body of a formal recommendation report and references following the conventions described in the Markel textbook. You must satisfy the following criteria.

The report must be based on the Corona case presented in this module and module 08.

Submit the body of the report (Introduction through Conclusion) and a References section. Other than the References, no front and back matter should be written or included at this time. Each section must be complete; a partial draft will not be accepted.

The body of the report must be 4,000 to 5,000 words.

Include meaningful, effective, and attractive graphics. There must be an appropriate balance between text and graphics. I prefer not to set any arbitrary percentages for this measure. Suffice it to say that the report probably should contain more than a single graphic; similarly, putting a great, big picture on every page to cut down on the amount of writing will also not be a successful strategy.

This is a research report; therefore, the report must be based on appropriate primary and secondary research.

1. Your primary research is the employee survey that you administered to Department Q. The completed surveys are found in the Survey Packet. You will need to compile and analyze the data to include it in your results.
2. Your secondary research may include a variety of sources; however, you must include at least two scholarly sources.
3. Your secondary research must be integrated into your paper correctly using summary, paraphrase, and quotation with proper source citation.
4. Include no more than two direct quotations.
5. Document your sources in MLA style.

Even though this is a draft, it should be presented to have the appearance of a final copy.
