In Assignment 2 you reported on a major supermarket chain in Brazil, Compretudo, shipping three product lines, described as shipments A, B and C in one consignment from different sources in your country and a further three product lines, described as shipments D, E and F from three different sources in a neighbouring country. You should have identified your country and a neighboring country. The shipments were consolidated into one dry 40 foot container in a warehouse next to the major port of export closest to your location and sent by ship to Brazil.

In Assignment 2 you studied the roles and relationships between the different logistics parties in getting these goods along the entire supply chain from the suppliers in your country and a neighboring country to one place of consolidation in your country, loading the container, the sea passage to and the distribution in Brazil.

Please now consider the same movement of the three shipments from a neighbouring country moving across the border to your country, the movement of the three shipments in your country and then the fully loaded container travelling by ship to Brazil.

This time, in 1000 words, please describe the various roles and responsibilities of the traders buying and selling the goods, any other commercial players and the border managers, such as Customs, in ensuring national and international security along the end to end movement from a neighboring country, your country, the sea passage and in Brazil and some of the responses they may adopt to counter any threat.
