NSN434 Research Study Description:

The purpose of this assessment is to help you develop and demonstrate the skills needed to design a nursing research study. You will create a research proposal that includes a well-defined research question, methodology, and plan for data collection and analysis, with a focus on improving nursing practice and patient outcomes.

What you need to do:

Write a hypothetical nursing research study. Use the study you critiqued in assessment 1 as a guide to develop a high quality and well justified research proposal.

The research study description should provide the background, rationale and methodological approach of a research study being hypothetically proposed in accordance with principles of research conduct that minimises risk and promotes quality outcomes.

Research Topic Selection:

Choose a relevant topic within the field of nursing that addresses a specific problem or area for improvement in patient care, nursing interventions, or healthcare systems. The topic must align with contemporary issues or challenges faced by nurses and healthcare providers. Choose a topic to benefit your current place of practice or where you did your last clinical placement.

Once you have chosen the topic and design for your research study proposal, please post to the discussion board via the link below:

  • Your proposed title and the design for your research proposal;
  • How this relates to your previous clinical practice experience or current (clinical) place of work.
